Yet another exciting week for the project. Last week we hosted the first of our fundraising events; a quiz at Duston Village Hall. We were delighted with the turnout as 8 teams competed to win a hamper very kindly donated by The Northampton Grocer.

Take Flight continue to be busy and we have been busy planning our last few fundraisers before the summer. We intend to book our flights to Chicago soon and we have started to create a more specific itinerary for our time out there.

It’s been another busy week for the ‘Take Flight’ team. Last Thursday, Conor, Bethany and myself, ably accompanied by Ms Wade, drove round Northampton and the surrounding countryside taking pictures and videos to send to the American students we are liaising with.

In January, I approached my three student ambassadors for English Literature and asked for their help in developing the links between the schools overseen by the Collaborative Academies Trust in America and Kingsthorpe College.
