Thinking of joining Kingsthorpe College?

We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and secure learning environment where our students can flourish and achieve. We want them to feel good about themselves and their time at KC.

All new students to the College are assigned to one of 5 vertical houses. The Achievement Directors and House Managers provide a point of contact to offer support and guidance and students enjoy taking part in the wide range of in House and inter House opportunities. The vertical tutor groups allow new students in Year 7 to ‘buddy’ with students in Year 8 and the tutor and other students quickly get to know newcomers very well. New students very easily settle into life at Kingsthorpe College. Student and parental feedback consistently supports and praises the College for the steps we take to ensure new students are settled and feel cared for.

Transition arrangements from primary schools to Kingsthorpe College are carefully managed. Students have opportunities to visit KC prior to transfer so as to become familiarised with the College. We liaise very closely with all of the primary schools in Northampton and many students will already have taken part in activities and events linked to Kingsthorpe College before transfer.

To get a feel for the excellent educational opportunities and support we offer students we recommend that you visit us on one of our Open Evenings in September. You are also very welcome to visit during the College day and see us all in action by taking a guided tour. If you would like to arrange a visit or tour please telephone or e-mail to arrange a convenient date and time.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kingsthorpe College..
