Students in year 12 take part in Business and Accounting competition

Twenty five of our year 12 students recently participated in a national Business Competition, gaining first hand experience of what it’s like to be a Chartered Accountant. Students worked in teams for the day, taking on a variety of challenges in which they had to react to various scenarios, produce a presentation and develops and then display a wide range of business skills. The day was led by an external company who regularly work with schools to promote employability skills, and the sessions run very much like the first stage of a recruitment process, thus providing students with an excellent experience. Which will be very useful for their futures. The students’ work (their final Business strategy) will be entered in to the national competition as well, with prizes on offer including laptops and Ipads – so fingers crossed they are successful!
