Post 16 students had a fantastic penultimate day of the summer term, holding a sports day, organised by Head Girl Holly Wilkinson. The day included football, rounders, basketball, three legged races, skipping and numerous other events. Ice cream, candy floss, and popcorn was sold throughout the day to raise money for the Sixth Form charity, before the students arranged to have pizza delivered to the school for lunch. The day was completed with an awards ceremony in the hall; the Post 16 Management Team gave out chocolates as a reward for the best attendance and attitude to learning (and to other students who have worked thoroughly hard all year), before the students gave some of their own awards - including best haircut, Mr. muscle, most stylish, etc.
It was wonderful to see so many students so heavily involved in all the sporting activity, and hopefully will be the start of many more sporting events throughout the year. A special thanks goes to Holly Wilkinson for her wonderful organisation of the day, and Zoe Ashton for her candy floss making machine!
